[WATCH] IPL 2025: ‘You will be shocked’ – Virat Kohli reveals his favourite song

Star cricketer has always been fond of hardcore Punjabi music, and has never shied away from expressing his love for the regional songs. Lately, he has also revealed Arijit Singh, the superstar Bollywood playback singer being one of his most-liked artists of all time. However, Virat’s current favourite chart buster is neither a Punjabi, nor an Arijit song.

Surprisingly, the song is none other than super popular melody by AR Rahman and Sid Sriram Tamil hit – Nee Singam Dhan. The song is from the movie Pathu Thala and released in April 2023. Virat has disclosed that he has been listening to the masterpiece on loop of late, which is slightly surprising because Tamil is a language that is not the mother tongue of the New Delhi-born.

“My favourite song? You will be shocked. (Plays the song on his phone and shows it to the camera) Nee Singam Dhan,” Virat said in a video posted by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on social media handles.

Speaking of Virat Kohli’s campaign in Indian Premier League 2025 so far, the 36-year-old has looked at his very best in the 10 games that he has played so far. With 443 runs so far, Virat has maintained a staggering batting average of 63.28 and the strike-rate has also been decent at 138.87. The ace opener also has six half-centuries, which has helped him be second on the list of holders, only 13 runs behind Sai Sudharsan’s 456 from nine innings.

Kohli and RCB will next be seen in the game against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings on May 03 at their home turf – the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The last time the two teams clashed at the venue, it was the league stage game of IPL 2024 season, where RCB qualified with a nerve-wrenching win in the last over. With another win against the MS Dhoni-led CSK, the Bengaluru-based franchise would want to solidify their position on the table.

Notably, RCB are currently topping the Points Table with seven wins in 10 matches. They are the only team with 14 points right now, and another two points on Saturday will nearly confirm their Playoffs’ spot. CSK, meanwhile, are already out of the tournament and hold the bottom position on the table.
