The defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are taking on the home team Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 29 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. DC skipper won the toss and elected to field first.
After giving a decent start by the KKR openers in the powerplay, the DC skipper came to bowl in the 8th over of the match. In the second ball of the match, bowled to KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane, the left-arm spinner delivered a slider onto the leg. The ball beat the right-handed batter and was trapped by the delivery. The ball hit the pads and was declared LBW. The KKR top-order batter walked before the umpire provided the decision, and the left-arm bowler got the batter out for 26 runs.
In the second over of his spell, Axar Patel bowled a full and outside off delivery to Venkatesh Iyer. The left-hander got a top edge, by miscuing the ball and was caught by Vipraj Nigam. The left-handed batter went for 7 runs, while Axar Patel picked up his second wicket of the match.

The DC spinners tried to choke the KKR batters since the powerplay. For , Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the top scorer who scored 44 runs off 32, where the remaining top-order batters got out for meagre runs. Axar Patel picked up two wickets in his back to back overs and finished his spell by just giving 27 runs.
Meanwhile, KKR needed to win the remaining five matches in the IPL 2025 to get into the playoffs. DC are comfortable in the top-four position with six wins and will aim to win the game in front of their home crowd and strengthen their playoff position.
