Speaking of PBKS’ so far, they have won five out of nine games so far. Their most recent fixture, their ninth against Kolkata Knight Riders, was washed out due to inclement weather. Electing to bat first, PBKS posted 201/4 on the board in their allotted 20-over quota. Only one over in the second innings could be bowled before rain played spoilsport at the Eden Gardens.

In relation to Iyer’s form with the bat, he has registered 288 runs in nine innings while maintaining a prolific strike rate of 182.27. The ace batter has hit more sixes (21) than fours (18) so far. As the tournament heads to its business end, a lot would bank on Iyer to lead the way as far as PBKS’ hopes for getting through to the playoffs are concerned.
