The KKR has made an interesting change within their squad as they have made way for spin-bowling all-rounder in the playing XI ahead of the match against the Delhi Capitals. It is the Capitals who have won the toss and put the Kolkata franchise to bat in the game; the boys in purple are currently seventh on the table, winning three out of the nine games this season.

Axar Patel had won the toss and decided to field first, mentioning that there might be a presence of dew in the game, which would make it easier to bat in the second innings. This might be a decision taken by the Delhi captain on what took place in their disappointing loss against RCB, which also took place at their home ground at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Anukul Roy to play his first game in IPL 2025
