Alia Bhatt has finally responded to the trolls who mocked her for her unconventional lipstick application style, and she did it with her signature sass. The viral video from 2023, where Alia applied lipstick by moving her mouth across the product and then dabbing it off which quickly became a “wipe that off” meme-fest on social media. In a new beauty collaboration with social media personality Chandni Bhabhda, Alia called out the trolling head-on.
Back in the original Vogue India video, which sparked the outrage, Alia had explained the reason behind her technique: “It’s a bit weird… but a lot of times after eating, I touch up my lipstick. I think something about moving the lipstick across my mouth is just more tedious than moving my mouth across the lipstick.”
Alia was last seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. Her upcoming projects include Alpha with Sharvari, which makes it the first female-led movie of the YRF spy universe. Apart from that, she is also currently shooting Love & War, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
