The have had a successful campaign in this season’s IPL so far with a new lineup and new leadership. With Axar Patel appointed as the skipper, the franchise has had a big turnaround, currently sitting at second place on the points table with six wins.
DC will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 27 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Ahead of the clash, the DC batters were in a practice session. In a video shared by the DC’s social media account, the team’s highest run-scorer this season, was seen hitting deliveries in net practice.
However, during one shot, the right-handed batter unexpectedly broke into two, leaving him stunned by the incident. The DC skipper later picked up the broken bat and jokingly told his teammate Tristan Stubbs that he now had a new bat. The Proteas cricketer acknowledged and the left-arm spinner said, ‘This mongoose bat only has the handle,’ closing the moment to a fun event.

Meanwhile, DC will take on RCB with both teams being in tremendous form and will aim to win the match and move one step closer to the playoffs stage. In the earlier match between the two franchises, which happened in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, DC won the match comfortably with six wickets in hand.
Leading from the front, the Bengaluru-born cricketer smashed an unbeaten 93* of 53 balls and took the team to victory. So, RCB will aim for their revenge against DC and the hometown player, Virat Kohli, will plan to win the match for his team and secure the seventh victory of the IPL 2025. DC also will focus on to keep their winning momentum and aim to win the match in front of their home crowd.
